Located in Canha, in the border of Alentejo and Ribatejo provinces, the Monte Jogral stud farm takes advantage of this region, rich in sparse forests and excelent pasture.

In Monte Jogral, Lusitanos are beeing carefully bred from selected bloodlines, treated and trained by qualified professionals. Our main goal is the production of animals both phisical and psychological prepared for any sport activities and at the same time, preserving the rigid breed standard.

Created in 1999, the Monte Jogral stud farm has 5 mares living in semi-freedom. RUMBA, black, from Marquês da Graciosa, daughter of LADINO, grand-daughter of DITO, grand-daughter of QUIMONO; ODETE, grey, from Barata Freixo, daughter of NHOQUI; and PENEIRENTA, also grey, from Dr. Ferraz da Costa, daughter of VIDAÇO, grand-daughter of NOVILHEIRO.

Our stallions are GINETE, grey, from Barata Freixo, son of ZICO, grand-son of NILO; and PEJO, black, from Ortigão Costa, son of JUAZEIRO.

After three years it is now possible to see the excelent result of the breeding between this famous lineages, through some tender age animals.
